and should be called "Viper01's Server ~Private~".

(remove the HTTP:// - this forum adds it automatically) If you want to try joining yourself, or testing the connection, to let me know if it's somehow a local problem the server is located at So I'm assuming the problem here is with the dedicated server and nothing else. People can join the in-game hosted server without any problems. I hope the community here can help me out.Īs a quick added note, I can START the game and host a server from inside the game without any issues. The server is running, and yet not, and I can't figure it out. I've hosted everything from "Minecraft" servers to "7 Days to Die" servers and I've never run into a situation this confusing. It does recognize it's space engineers (because the game starts) but upon trying to join the game, space engineers says the host has left the server. I've added the server manually as well, which also reports non-existent and have attempted to join it (the non-existing server). That said, once I add the server to my favorites it quickly reports that the server no longer exists. Actually it lists up to 6 of them (for some reason).

If I go into the Favorites area (Steam) and do a search for servers on my external IP address, without providing a port number, it does see the space engineers server. So, I thought why not enter it manually and force the issue? When I go and search for the server from Steam I also can't find it via the public listing, or via the LAN listing, again with and without the Group ID entered (in the server config). I've tried this both with my Group ID and without (in the server config). Now, when I go in-game and search for the server I find nothing under the public listing, and nothing under the LAN listing either. That's my correct external IP address, but the port number shows as 0, even though both the config and config file, show it as 27016.

The only thing I'm wondering about is the IP address line. When I do so, via the -console option, everything seems to populate and appears to look as if it's running fine. There are NO errors during any of this process, including saving and running the server.

Third, I've properly configured the server (as far as I know) and have used the 64bit versions of both my group ID as well as my personal account (as admin). Second, I've got all the ports (that I know of) configured and directed to the target computer. I let my router handle that, and it's always done a good job. Here's the lowdown įirst, there is no firewall on the system. That said, I'm having issues getting my systems to recognize each other where Space Engineers is concerned. I've used this same system for many different dedicated servers, so I'm far from new to this. I've installed Space Engineers, the dedicated server, onto a spare computer at home here. Hey all, hope I can get some suggestions (aka.
